Relational and Embodied Supervision
I provide clinical supervision for individuals and groups and completed my supervision training at the Minster Centre. My model is integrative, experiential and actively uses experimentation and the use of arts modalities.
I also apply the principles of Nature Allied Psychotherapy from my training with the Nature Therapy School.
You can find me on the approved supervisor list for adults at IATE.
I work collaboratively with you to find meaning, fostering curiosity, autonomy and your development as a counsellor, therapist or psychologist.
My work is inspired by Bownas and Fredman's book: Working with Embodiment in Supervision: A Systemic Approach (2017).
Embodiment in terms of supervision considers how we 'attend to what we feel, show and communicate with our bodies in practice' and 'how we can use and make sense of our bodily feelings in supervision’.
I acknowledge power and difference and actively work with the impact of discrimination and prejudice, inclusive of; class, ethnicity, gender, transgender, neurodiversity and disabilities to lay the foundations for safe and collaborative dialogue with your clients.
I integrate humanistic, relational psychoanalytic, psychodynamic, nature allied pscyhotherapy, transcultural, person centred, neuroscience, arts theory and working with embodiment in supervision.
My supervisory contract abides by the ethical codes of the UKCP, HCPC and IATE.
